Always Put Black & Decker Toys in the Middle of Your Star Wars Display

I made a pit stop at Target on my way to work this morning, and was really impressed with Target’s innovative ways of displaying Star Wars toys. You know how most Star Wars displays don't have a few Black & Decker Tool Belts randomly shoved in the center? Well this Target solved that issue. 

I managed to get my hands on a copy of Target’s guidelines for merchandising their store shelves. It was pretty impressive and forward-thinking stuff:

SECTION 43.2. GUIDELINES FOR DISPLAYING STAR WARS TOYS:
"When setting up the Star Wars toy display, it’s of the utmost importance that the Black & Decker Tool Sets act as a focal point. Nothing gives the entire display of Star Wars merchandise more fluidity and cohesion than a giant tool belt set in a boxy neon orange packaging. Plus, it hasn’t been fully decided if either Black or his friend Decker are actual Star Wars characters, but our executive team is looking into the matter.”
