Some Genius Reimagined Modern Movies as Classic VHS Rentals

Sure, Einstein may have been considered a “genius.” But if he was so great, why didn’t he recreate a bunch of modern horror/sci fi movies as classic VHS tapes? Luckily, history has provided us with another genius by the name of Steelberg.

Steelberg flawlessly created vintage-style VHS covers for some recent horror and sci fi movies, including It Follows, The Force Awakens, etc… As somebody who grew up going to the video store to rent VHS tapes, the nostalgia factor on these is enough to jam a VCR.

Sadly, these are all part of Steelberg's personal collection and not for sale. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to have these in their collection. But don’t worry. I’ve already ordered dozens of pitchforks and torches off of eBay. As soon as they arrive, we can storm Steelberg’s house and demand they be sold to us all (I’m still working out the finer details of that plan).

Scroll down and check out the gallery below. It’s the closest you’ll ever come to being able to peruse the wall of an 80’s video store once again.

And be sure to follow Steelberg on Facebook and Instagram.
