Using a few classic Fisher Price Little People characters, I created a line of Fisher Price Little People Universal Monsters. The simplicity of the Little People line made these both easy and difficult. They were easy because I only had to draw two black dots on a white figure to call it The Mummy. However, they were difficult because you’re limited to just a few simple shapes and basic details to capture the spirit of an iconic character.
Finding something to use for Dracula’s Cowl proved to be particularly difficult. In the end, the plastic cover of a red Five-Star Notebook ended up being perfect. It took many sad trips to Target to exam different materials in order to figure that out.
And, since I love me some packaging, I made a display stand that looks like the vintage Fisher Price Little People cardbacks. I actually made two sets, and will be giving one away in the next few weeks, so be sure to check back.
And as always, make sure you’re following DbT on Instagram to get your fill of daily dickheadery.
These are amazing!
